Great River Bluff State Park, Beer and wine Festival

Had a nice weekend.  Hiked on some new trails which is always fun.  Went to "Great River Bluff State Park".  There are tons of trails, I only had an hour so I only was able to hike about two of them.  I can't wait to go back and hike more.  The views are spectacular and lots of birds.  I met a girl who was out hiking with her binoculars bird watching.  She let me borrow her binoculars to look at a few birds.  That was awesome, maybe that can be another hobby I can get into.

Went to the beer, wine, cheese festival again this year. 

Jason painted the back wall in the Living Room, Riley helped. 

 

Austin got a new truck from Aunt Kelly.

 

 

Early Morning Hike and Afternoon Picnic

Woke up this morning at 6:30 and looked out the window.  It was a beautiful morning so I decided to get up and go for a hike to the top of the bluff at Perrot Park before the day started.  It was perfect hiking weather at 40 degrees and sunshine.  I was all by myself in the bliss of nature, my favorite place to be. 

Decided to pack a lunch for the kids and have a picnic at the park for lunch.  Today is the only good weather day forecasted for the week so thought we better get outside.  Brought lots of old bread to feed the birds. 

A goose was bathing and kept opening his wings.  It was cool looking but I never did get a good picture.  Actually it was a little scary.

Happy Easter!

Had a fun Easter weekend.  On Saturday Riley and I played a few games of hop scotch.  Riley learned how the game worked and had fun.

Riley got a new basketball from Grandma and it even has his name written on it.  He is all excited to have a basketball with his name on it.

Carrie and I went to a Reggae band at JavaVino on Saturday night.  Somethin g different to so and we had a nice night out.

Went to breakfast at Fayzee's with my side of the family for Easter.  Went to Jason's side for dinner.  Had a great family day on Easter.
