Sunny Days And COVID 19

March 22 2020: Still dealing with this Pandemic.  It is normal that every news station main story is COVID 19.  You can't listen to the radio, search Facebook, watch television or talk to any person that does not include obsessing about COVID 19.  That is how serious and surreal the current situation is.

The kids have been doing things here and there with school work.  We have been spending most of our time outdoors in the yard, riding bikes or in nature where no one else is around.  The weather has been pretty good.  Spring is right around the corner which is an exciting thought despite the depressing gloom that COVID-19 likes to cast it's ugly shadow upon.  Hopefully the sun will rise up and crush it's ugly power very soon.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring as I prepare myself for another week of unknowns but no matter what time stops for no man.  We just keep taking it day by day with what we have been given and make the best of it.

Pandemic

March 18:. We are in a qaurantine in the United States for Covid-19.

It first started in Wuhan, China and became community spread, then captured Italy with a community spread pandemic and now is mimicking the same thing here in the United States.  It will go down in history!  It is a scary, sad but not going down without a fight kind of time.

Our generation has not seen a pandemic before and it is quite sobering.  All schools, bars, restaurants, most daycares, malls, planes and any gatherings of 50 or more all shut down.

Jason, my husband, works at Walmart and I work at the local Clinic.  We are both on the front lines of the pandemic but I feel at peace.  I will take it day by day and try to be a part of the help rather than the opposite.  We all can do our part even in the confined of our homes obeying the rules.

This is forcing people to take a look inside.  To remember what it means to be humble and kind.  To re ignite the mercy and Grace for each other again.  To actually slow down and not run around doing so much stuff that you have no time to rest.  To recognizing how important it is to raise our children honorably and teach them to appreciate what they have and value it.  To help your fellow co worker, or call your grandparents to say hello, to thank your teachers for teaching our kids, to accept each other in all our differences so we can be strong together even if we do not always agree.  To always remember that in the United States of America we are only as strong as our weakest link.

We need to return to God.  Remember his faithfulness.  You can only run from God for so long before the distance becomes so far that it is better to reap what we have sown now than God to continue to let us run.

God's mercies are new every day and His faithfulness is perfect.  Rest assured in your faith just as a child rests assured in their parents.  What will be will be but be at peace.  Why worry when it doesn't change a thing, just be at peace with "what will be".

Whenever you feel a worry just say that special prayer "God grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change...

Let's all start saying prayers for each other, our community and our loved ones because prayer makes a difference and a good remedy to fear and worry is faith and prayer.
