Fortnite

This is the Nintendo of the eighties.  Fortnite.  Also watching you tube.  I have no clue how to play any of these video games and I do not get the obsession with you tube either.  My entire focus when I am with my kids is what can I do ho keep them off video games.  Some days I am successful and other days ...

I just Another Day In Quarantine

Quarantine day April 29th....

Today in between video games we played beer pong, the kid version, hide and seek, how to draw you tube excersizes, math worksheets and Bill Nye the science guy.

Riley zoomed face timed with his teacher Mr.Bradley, they are reading Old Yeller.

Cohersed the kids into doing the dishes.

New Experiences

Here is a picture of me in my new position.  In all the 18 years of working in healthcare I have never had to wear a PAPR even though we do the yearly education.  This year is the first time I had to.   I have learned so much in these last few weeks.  I am thankful to still be working and feeling useful in this time.

COVID 19 Journaling

April 22nd ...

Life has changed a lot.  I am now working three 12 hour shifts a week in the Emergency Room area helping escort patients who come in by ambulance to their rooms.  I am thankful to still be working as many of my clinic co workers have been furloughed.  I am hoping we can all get back to our normal jobs soon.

The kids are unfortunately playing a lot of video games.  They are also being home schooled by a very unqualified teacher....me!  We do math worksheets, the old school math way, writing once a day, we watch Mystery Doug, read daily and practice piano daily.  It's not enough but at least I'm trying.  It takes more than an hour to fight with Austin to do anything.  My plan for today is have the kids create their own American Flags...whoo hoo.  I also ordered a bunch of new books from the book order at school.   We ordered some "I Survived" books.  I'm sure one day there will be a book called I"Survived Covid19".

There is rumors baseball may still happen.  I'm hoping it does.  The kids have a new hobby in biking.  It is a great social distancing hobby.
