Weekend Getaway for Two

Jason and I went away for the weekend just the two of us.  My parents were nice enough to watch the kids for us and we had a wonderful time together. 

Jason decided we should go to St Croix Falls since it has some really neat State Parks.  We both enjoy hiking and nature so perfect place for both of us.  Our first day we went to Interstate Park.  The water and rocks were breathtaking.  We noticed lots of rock climbers and kayakers.

We hiked in some rough and rugged rock areas.  Great adventure and great workout.

 

After our hike in Interstate Park we stopped at "Fawn Doe Rosa"  as it is rated as one of the top tourist attractions in the area.  We loved the deer and fawn that were there.  So neat to pet and feed deer and fawns.

On Sunday we went to "Banning State Park" on the Minnesota side.  Another gem of a park.  It is amazing the beauty that lies within Wisconsin and Minnesota.  You don't have to drive far to find it.

Just another Day in Paradise



These two were an interesting couple.  This waterfall was awesome and people actually slid down on the bare butts!  Looked like fun but I'd probably use a tube. 

On Monday we stopped at "Minnehaha Falls Park" on our way home.  Never knew Minneapolis had waterfalls.  This one is huge and totally worth seeing.  What a great park.
