Spring Beginning
Things are just beginning to bloom now. Love this time of year. This weekend was gorgeous outside. Grandma Great came with us to feed the ducks at Riverside Park.

Gone Too Soon
On Friday last week we got some awful news that Jason's dad passed away from a sudden heart attack. He was packing to come back to Wisconsin so he could be closer to his family but he never made it back. We feel deep sadness and heartache that he is gone. He will be missed. Though it is hard to understand we find peace knowing his life was in God's hands and only God sees the big picture as we only see pieces. One day we will see Tony again and it will all make sense. God is a good father who takes care of his children and if that is true I believe Tony is with him now.
You are never the same after the loss of a loved one. Your heart will never be the same and your love for that person is always a part of you that aches forever. Time heals and restores but love never leaves your heart. To have loved is the greatest gift a person can ever have. With loss you learn compassion and understanding. I am thankful for the sting of love lost as that means I truly have loved. I choose to celebrate my loved ones lives in the cherished photos, memories, stories and hopes of being reunited in an amazing heaven that God has prepared for us. Life on earth is not the end but a tiny stepping stone into eternal paradise.
