Photos, timeless gifts

Today was a gloomy, rainy/snowy day.  I got done with work a little early so I went for a little walk on the bike trail before I went and picked up the kids.  It was  peaceful because there was no one around as it was cold out.  Sometimes you forget how beautiful quiet moments are.  I took some pictures of the rain drops and had a chance to appreciate some alone time.

 

I started reading a cool book called "The Unforgettable Photograph" by George Lange.  It is a great book about ideas, tips and suggestions for taking great photos.

I love thinking of pictures as capturing our everyday experiences so one day we can look back and remember those rich moments in our life.  Life is beautiful and it is fun to try to capture it's everyday extraordinaire.   

Those pesky crickets

Riley got a new bed yesterday.  He had grown out of his Lightning McQueen bed so we bought him a twin size bed.  He loves it. 

Funny thing:  We were watching some Caterpillar show on TV tonight and there were crickets on it making noise.   He says "Oh, that is what I am hearing in my bed at night.  There are crickets in my room." 

A Rainy Day

It was a rainy day so we drove to Eau Claire and went to the mall. 

Beautiful Night Sky

Austin turned 20 months yesterday.  I love his expressions.  If only we could always be this innocent.   

Today was another beautiful day outside.  In the fifties and sunny.  Too bad I had to work all day.  I still managed to see some of the light of day and snapped a few photos.  The sky tonight took my breath away. 

I just couldn't stop taking pictures.  The sky is truly amazing.  Every day it is a different color and never the same.  It reminds me of how amazing God is. 

 Psalm 104:24  How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all;  the earth is full of your creatures.

Beauty

Today was a beautiful day outside.  Riley and I had dentist appointments, yuck!  Riley did great, he got his first xrays done today as the last couple times they weren't able to do it.  He got to bring home a print out of his teeth and he was thrilled. 

After the dentist we went for a drive to admire the beauty of the day.  There was frost, snow, leaves, ice, sun, trees and beautiful reflections all over.  Nature is the best cure for boredom.
