Mother's Day Turtle Style

Had a great Mother's Day weekend.  My sister came to visit and we had a lot of fun hanging out.  Played some basketball, blew some bubbles and watched old videos of when we were little.  Hard to believe it has been 30 some years from when we were my kids age.  So fun seeing how we looked back then and how our parents and relatives looked on video.  Those memories are priceless.

We had Riley's birthday party today at the park.  We had about 11 kids come.  It was a good turn out, it didn't rain and it was fun.  Riley loved his party and is stoked about all his new TMNT gear he got. 

I Love Bubbles

Had some fun with bubbles today.  Bubbles are so cool, even as an adult they are fun. 

Cake, Hike, Walk

Today I made Riley's TMN Turtles cake.  I feel so proud of the cake.  I practiced drawing the turtles for a couple weeks before I made the cake and it turned out great.  I even made my own homemade frosting and used food coloring for the different colors.  It took me about 4 hours but I had fun making it. 

After making the cake I went for a short hike at Perrot Park.  The water is really high and I saw a couple snakes grazing in the sun on the side of the river bank.  At first they scared me but then I grabbed my camera.  Things are really beginning to bloom now. 

Stopped at my parents tonight with the kids.  Went for a short walk around the neighborhood.

Play Date at My House

Today was a good day!  I got to have company!  Had Carrie and her boys over.  So fun!

Birthday Party and Play Date

Finally the sun came out today.  I lost count of how many days it has been without any sunshine and it sure felt good to see it today.  Took Riley to Chuck E Cheese today for one of his school friend's birthday parties.  We had a total blast!  Riley is a fun guy to hang out with. 

After the party took the kids to Carrie's for a play date. 

Austin finds the most peculiar things to play with.

This little guy is so sweet!  Love taking pictures of him.  He is perfectly adorable!
